Description Family Agapanthaceae Garden origin Aptly named for its huge majestic globes of tubular flowers, this agapanthus is one of the best varieties of the genus. Each of the many tubular blooms, loved by pollinators, is pure white with a deep royal blue throat, and borne in profusion on a tall, stout stem well above the mound of broad, fleshy strap shaped deciduous leaves. A succession of flowers is produced over a long period during summer, followed by heads of seeds held upright on the long lasting stems into winter.
