Description Family Crassulaceae Originating from Canary Islands An other-worldly architectural plant with slender smooth stems each terminating in a tightly formed rosette of purple/red leaves. Its sparseness of foliage adds to its extraordinary mini tree-like form, which is further elevated by its spectacular, large golden-yellow panicles of flowers, produced in spring; their striking conical form is borne on slender curved and ascending stems. Given a hot sunny position outside for summer, it will reward you with its most intense foliage colour before being returned to an unheated conservatory or greenhouse for winter. Easy to grow in free-draining compost. Height and spread after 2 – 5 years 1m x 1m.
