This is a fantastic sweet/seasoning pepper, originally sourced from the rainforest market of Iquitos, Peru. It is a sweet C. chinense (habanero group) like the Aji Dulce of Puerto Rico or Cachucha of Cuba. True to its rainforest origin, this variety holds up very well to Florida summer conditions and produces lots of peppers through the height of heat and humidity. This is a very robust variety with a large canopy and high vigor. The fruit are unusually large for a C. chinense type pepper. The fruit are essentially heatless with a nice sweet flavor. Plants are very productive. Rainforest vegetable varieties for the Florida summer makes a whole lot of sense to us! ~20 seeds
