“Bounty” passionfruit is a highly productive purple selection. We have had very high yields growing this variety for about 10 years. The cultivar “Bounty” is grown from cuttings. This listing is for seeds. Seeds grown cannot be referred to as the true cultivar “Bounty” but as “Bounty seedlings” since they are not clones of the original. Good friends of ours have grown dozens of plants out from seed and found them to be true to type and highly productive. Passionfruit seedlings are very vigorous and are a great means of propagation for true to type varieties such as this one. Bounty is a self fertile passionfruit that sets lots of fruit without any need for hand pollination. We have great success running the plants up trees and the ripe fruits fall onto the ground when they’re ripe. This passionfruit is sweet and a lot less sour than some other kinds. The fruits are enjoyed out of hand by many people as a dessert fruit. 25 seeds
