Aussiespeed Holden 6 cylinder finned thermostat housing base AS0602R-K

Description Aussiespeed  Holden 6 cylinder red motor cast aluminium thermostat housing base.  These are a hand made sand cast housing not a diecast machine made housing. The gasket surfaces are machined not linished, the bypass channel and drilled and taped holes are machined on a CNC machining centre . It is recommended that a corrosion inhibitor be used in the cooling system. They will bolt to red motor, blue motor and black motor cylinder heads that are not using the factory water hoses for manifold heating or need to run water outlets without adding extra fittings.     The base is 10mm thicker on the head face so a thermostat housing base spacer is not required when fitting an Aussiespeed rocker cover.It is supplied with zinc plated socket head bolts and gasket to fit to the cylinder head, AS0602R is bored the same as a factory housing to accept a standard thermostat. These can be used to replace WOB77 Kilkenny Castings part number .   The side of the housing can be drilled and a thread put in for any bypass hoses or additional sensors for reading engine temperatures The bypass channel is machined out and will require a drilled hole in the side of the housing if you need to use it. These are supplied in a raw shot blasted finish so you can paint, polish or leave the natural aluminum finish.
