Description Italian wine – ROSSO RISERVA VIGNA BATTAIA D.O.C 2015 Red Whine from Croatina grape (30-50%), Barbera (25-50%), Uva Rara (15%) TECHNICAL DATA Acquired Alcohol: 14,00% Titratable acidity: 5.70 pH: 3.3 Volatile Acidity: 0.67 Total Sulphur Dioxide: 60 TASTING SHEET This wine is limpid and ruby-red with shades of purple. Its body is quite consistent with rather wide legs, which allows a not-excessive speed in sliding. These features reveal good alcohol content and structure. The nose perceives a hint of drought flowers, ripe fruit, and spices, as well as a light perception of alcohol. The aroma is intense, complex, but refined at the same time. Ripe berries, drought pansy and black peppers are some of the scents to recognize too. Its flavour is so fruity, that you almost would want to chew on it. It is both dry and warm, but also smooth and fresh. If one the one hand it appears less savoury, on the other hand it is rather tannic. The not completely softened tannin, together with its sharpness, declare some potential of further refinement after bottling. Finally, the structure of this refined quality wine is well-balanced, rather persistent.
