Description Aussiespeed Holden 253 308 V8 timing cover includes timing cover, cover gasket, water pump gasket, fuel pump gasket and oil seal. Aussiespeed premium quality timing covers are cast and machined in Australia from first grade ingot aluminum. We don’t used recycled un-certified aluminum in our timing covers. These timing covers have a removable timing tab which can be easily removed for larger diameter harmonic balancers. The fuel pump hole can be blanked to use on 304 VN onwards fuel injected engines. Aussiespeed timing covers are hand finish after the casting processes. The covers are then shot blasted which is a peening process. Shot peening is a surface treatment process for aluminium that involves bombarding it with small steel balls to increase its fatigue resistance, hardness, and corrosion resistance. The Aussiespeed machining process of our timing covers is done on a CNC machining centre with special designed machining fixtures that act as test fitting the product to an engine block as part of the machining process. Things like the horror stories we have heard from engine builders who have had to remove the dowels on the engine block to fit a timing cover or drilling out bolt holes to get them to fit. We produce a premium product that goes through surface treatment as part of the machining and finishing of our product.
